The prize money distributed from 1st place rider to 20th place rider. The overall general classification winning rider earn (€150k), the runner-up in the Vuelta a Espana make (€57,000) and third place rider in general classification make (€30,000).
There is extra bonus money for the riders, recently a sports magazine suggested that King of the Mountains total €23,500 distributed among 1st place rider who earn (€13,000) share, second place rider will earn (€6,600) and third place rider awarded in king of mountain category upto (€3,500). Rider who get (Cima Alberto Fernández) award will receive €1,000. The team classification winner will make (€12,000) from the overall adjusted purse. Currently no details released about Vuelta a Espana 2020 prize money cuts because this year there will be no crowed adherence during stages, so far the prize fund for the cycling tour remain same.
