The top 20 riders on each stage earn their share of (€27,540). There is extra prize money for the riders according to their position in Giro D’italia with combined prize money from stage, riders position from 1-10 and 10-20. The will increase the purse of cyclist to €289,170.
The final category of purse money based on special prizes, the riders €170,500 distributed among top 10 riders which is half of the Tour de France prize money. The rider who wear the Maglia Rosa jersey each day in the race earn extra purse of (€1,000) which means for all 20 stages (€21,000) distributed among riders.
Cyclist who held lead in Maglia Rossa red jersey points lead, will make (€500) per stage, the final points classification help riders from 1st to 5th position in red jersey points to earn (€3,000 – €10,000). The adjusted balance for the Maglia Rossa red jersey fund increased (€71,000).
Top three teams who followed all rules and regulations will awarded with extra prize money based on (fair play). The first team will receive share of €5,000, 2nd place team received (€3,000) and third place team earn (€2,000).
